Pets home alone

What happens when your too ill to take care of your pets. Health Assist received an urgent call from a local hospital to request assistance. A new patient had been admitted leaving her two beautiful cats at home with no one to feed or care for them.

Justine was unable to communicate to the hospital staff as to whether they been vaccinated or not. Unfortunately at that point without knowing whether they were up to date with their vaccinations we could not transport them to a cattery for safe keeping.

Instead our wonderful Home Assistance volunteer, Bronwyn stepped in and went over to feed and water the cats on a daily basis. Of course she stayed for cuddles and to ensure they had a little bit of company.

These two little fluffies where well looked after while their mum was in hospital. Today we took them to the RSPCA for vaccinations and a temporary home until their Mum is ready to pick them up again. Big thanks to RSPCA and Eastern Health for their help!
